Femili PNG is pleased to announce that the official opening of its new office in Lae took place on 5 June 2017. The official opening luncheon was held at the Lae International Hotel, followed by a blessing and ribbon cutting at the new office.

Femili PNG and the Oil Search Foundation (the Foundation) have entered into a partnership to strengthen referral systems in Hela province to respond to Gender Based Violence.
Attending training is an opportunity for an individual to learn new things and also to unlearn the things that they are used to doing. Service providers who have been working for a long time may sometimes forget to follow certain protocols because of their overwhelming number of cases handled. On the other hand, new service providers may lack some of the knowledge and skills required to handle and manage cases.
On 8 February 2017 Femili PNG launched an official partnership with the PNG Business Coalition for Women (BCFW). Through this partnership BCFW and Femili PNG hope to make the support services offered by Femili PNG accessible to more working women and men in Lae.

Thank you everyone who contributed to our 2017 Femili PNG Canberra Running Festival fundraising campaign. Our fundraising target was $20,000, and we made it – raising $21,785.
Some staff came on horse-back, others in their farm work-wear and also mothers and their curious toddlers came together to listen and learn about the issue of family and sexual violence.
During the final Lae FSV Service Provider Group meeting for the year, Femili PNG donated more than K14,600 worth of office equipment, stationery and computers to partners in Lae.
