Friends of Femili PNG / Femili PNG is seeking a volunteer to assist us in our fundraising and communications work, based in Canberra. This volunteer will work closely with the Development Manager one day a week to assist with the following tasks:
- Organising fundraising events and campaigns for Femili PNG.
- Generating content to publicise these events and campaigns for a variety of platforms including the web, media and social media.
- Promoting the work of Femili PNG in Australia and developing a network of Femili PNG supporters across Australia.
- Researching and identifying funding and fundraising opportunities.
This opportunity is only able to be offered during working hours Monday to Friday, and we’re after someone who can commit to volunteer one day a week.
Our ideal volunteer is interested in, and passionate about, aid and international development, issues around gender-based violence and learning more about the work of Femili PNG.
While experience in communications and fundraising for an NGO is highly valued, we are also interested in hearing from you if you are enthusiastic and would like to gain new skills and experience in these areas.
This volunteering opportunity would suit someone who is passionate about making a difference to the lives of survivors of family and sexual violence in Papua New Guinea.
