FemiliPNG Australia raised over $40,000 at the 2025 Canberra Times Marathon Festival on Sunday 13 April 2025, in support of survivors of family and sexual violence (FSV) in Papua New Guinea.

There were 33 dedicated passionate runners, including three members of the Papua New Guinea Defence Force (PNGDF). The generous donations from their family and friends turned this event into a success. FemiliPNG Australia is grateful for this overwhelming support that placed them as the top fundraiser at this year’s marathon event.

Following the marathon, a special morning tea was hosted at the Papua New Guinea High Commission, generously supported by His Excellency John Kali Ma’o, CMG OBE. The runners, supporters, and members of the PNG community attended the morning tea – generously sponsored by Colonel Siale Francis Diro of the PNGDF.

The funds raised will go directly to supporting Femili PNG’s case management services in Lae, Port Moresby, and Goroka to assist survivors of FSV.

Femili PNG and FemiliPNG Australia extends heartfelt thank you to all runners, volunteers, donors, and event partners for making this campaign such a success.
