Femili PNG is pleased to support a second phase of research into Family Protection Orders in PNG conducted by the Department of Pacific Affairs (DPA) at the Australian National University and supported by the Australian Government in partnership with the Government of Papua New Guinea as part of the  Pacific Women program. Other partners in the research include the University of Papua New Guinea in Port Moresby and the PNG University of Technology in Lae.

The DPA research team members include Dr Judy Putt and Ms Lindy Kanan, former Development Manager of Femili PNG.

The research will be conducted across five locations, including Port Moresby, Lae, Mount Hagen, Popondetta and Bougainville, and will look at the expectations of clients seeking protection orders and the effectiveness of those orders.
