This year is Femili PNG’s 10th Anniversary and to mark this special occasion the organisation will be hosting a Gala Night in Port Moresby on 3rd August.

Since humble beginnings in 2014, Femili PNG (FPNG) has now supported nearly 7,000 clients and their dependants. In addition to the original Case Management Centre (CMC) in Lae, the organisation now have offices in Port Moresby and Goroka. Femili PNG also operates the Bel isi PNG Case Management Centre and Safe House in Port Moresby.

Femili PNG assists almost 90 new clients a month, provides emergency accommodation and support to about 100 women and children in safe house accommodation every night, and helps 20 clients every month obtain protection orders.

Femili PNG works in close collaboration with key partners such as the police, courts, safe houses, Welfare, Family Support Centres (FSC), Family and Sexual Violence Unit (FSVU) and private sector and NGO partners to support survivors. Femili PNG also undertakes outreach and training in communities and schools, to raise awareness about violence and the help available, and to encourage local action.

To celebrate Femili PNG’s 10th Anniversary, a Gala Night will be hosted at the Hilton Hotel in Port Moresby on Saturday, 3rd August 2024. The event aims to raise essential funds to support Femili PNG’s transformative work. The evening will feature the premiere of a special video reflecting on FPNG’s decade of operations, along with the launch of two reports detailing the organisation’s efforts and achievements.

Confirmed speakers for the event include: Dr Eric Kwa (Secretary of the PNG Department of Justice), H.E. John Ma’o Kali CMG OBE (PNG High Commissioner to Australia and Femili PNG Patron), Mr John Feakes (Australian High Commissioner to Papua New Guinea), Ms Stephanie Copus Campbell (Australian Ambassador for Gender Equality), and Mr Rupert Bray (Chair of Bel isi PNG).
