A trivia night was held in Canberra on November 7th to celebrate PNG’s 50th anniversary of independence and to raise funds for Femili PNG. The event was organised by volunteers from FemiliPNG Australia, the Australian support group for Femili PNG, set up to raise funds for Femili PNG and to provide technical assistance. A total of $11,000 was raised through ticket sales, coffee and bilum sales and a silent auction, with all proceeds going to FemiliPNG Australia to benefit Femili PNG.
The event was sold out with 20 tables sold seating 10 people each. As well as enjoying the three rounds of trivia, and other games. Participants also got to watch the Femili PNG video.
