Femili PNG Lae Project has presented a much-needed office equipment to one of its long-time partners, the City Mission Safe House on 16 February in Lae.

Femili PNG Lae Project Director, Judith Semion and the Technical Manager, Delwyn Dau presented the item to the City Mission Assistant General Manager, Mr Winston Orere in the presence of the Safe House Manager, Miriam Momori.

The Assistant General Manager, Mr Winston Orere thanked Femili PNG for the donation stating that the desktop is a big relieve to the staff in addressing their challenges to prepare necessary documents and reports on a timely manner.

“Our safe house manager and admin had been having challenge preparing client’s documents, reports and stock cards on time due to having only one laptop. I am grateful to Femili PNG for recognising the need and keep on supporting us,” says Mr Orere.

The Safe House Manager, Miriam Momori further elaborated saying:

“For long I needed a desktop to fast-track record keeping, filing, client records and reports but has been delayed because we have only one laptop which is quite old and frequently freezes, making it difficult to use. I am thankful to Femili PNG to help address our challenge for us to ensure we serve survivors well.”

Femili PNG and City Mission in Lae have been collaborating since 2014 to provide emergency accommodation to women and children who are survivors of FSV. This support aligns Femili PNG’s commitment to foster strong and effective partnership with other partners and organisations to promote responses to family and sexual violence across Papua New Guinea.

Femili PNG Lae Project Operations Director, Judith Semion in her respond to Mr. Orere reaffirmed the organisation’s commitment to support and work hand in hand with partners like City Mission.
